October 4, 2008 Annual Health Benefits Enrollment Seminar On Wednesday, Oct. 22, TIAA will sponsor a seminar presented by TI Health Benefits for retired TIers who receive health benefits from TI. The seminar will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Collinwood Room 1 at the Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. Topics will include the Annual Enrollment for 2009 and the change of health benefits administration to Fidelity. Admission is free, but reservations are needed to assure adequate seats are available. Meet & Greet the Troops at D/FW - Tuesday, Nov. 11 - Join us to meet and greet our troops on Veteran's Day. Depart Texins at 6:30 a.m., cheer on the troops, have breakfast at your own cost, and return about 11 a.m. TI will furnish bus ride and T-shirts. Please register by Nov. 4. "All American Country" - Saturday, Jan. 17 - Enjoy a live musical performance at Granbury Live. Depart from the Texins Activity Center at 9:30 a.m., arrive at the Granbury square about 10:30 so you can visit the shops and enjoy lunch on your own, attend the 1 p.m. matinee and return about 4:30. Price is $23 per person if you provide your own transportation or $44 for members and $48 for nonmembers if you ride the bus and leave the driving to us. Please register by Jan. 13. "King Tut and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs" - Wednesday, Feb. 18 - Experience a once-in-a-lifetime visit to the world of King Tut at the Dallas Museum of Art to explore the figures who guided ancient Egypt more than 3,000 years ago. The exhibition focuses on the 18th Dynasty, a 100-year period when Egypt was at the height of its power and when Tutankhamun and his ancestors reigned. The extensive array of more than 130 extraordinary artifacts from the tomb of Tutankhamun and other ancient Egyptian sites features 50 of Tutankhamun's burial objects, including his royal diadem and one of the four gold-and-precious-stone-inlaid canopic coffinettes that contained his mummified internal organs.
