Click this link for Web version TIAA Newsletter Published The Third Quarter 2008 issue of TI Alumni News has been delivered to the Post Office, and TIAA members should receive their copy shortly. Because of high printing and mailing cost, printed versions of the newsletter are now mailed only to active TIAA members. However, all former TIers can view and/or print out the newsletter using the TIAA website. A downloadable version of the newsletter can be accessed at www.tialumni.org/news. In addition, we will send copies of this electronic bulletin, which will feature the availability of each newsletter, to all former TIers who provide us with a valid email address. Donations Requested TIAA urgently needs your financial help to reach our goal of raising $25,000 for The Senior Source via our 9th annual golf tournament. All contributions are welcome and 100% goes to support our chosen charity. Please make checks payable to The Senior Source and mail to The Senior Source, Attention: TIAA Golf Tournament, P.O. Box 35244, Dallas TX 75235-0244. This is the only fund drive that TIAA supports and we have raised more than $150,000 for The Senior Source over the past several years. Their website www.TheSeniorSource.org gives information about their many programs that help seniors in our area. Reminder: Upcoming Events Lone Oak Winery, Burleson Wednesday, Sept. 10 Observe how wine is made from the vine to the bottle with a great tour of the Lone Oak Winery. Walk through the vineyard, and see grape-crushing and the aging room with oak barrels. Then go to the tasting room to sample those grapes. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Board the bus at Texins parking lot at 10 a.m. Return at 4 p.m. Have lunch at your own expense at a restaurant to be determined. The prices $20 for TIAA members and $23 for non-members include the wine tour and roundtrip bus fare. Registration extended to Sept. 7. Crow Collection of Asian Art Saturday, Sept. 13, 10 a.m. 4 p.m. See outstanding galleries dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. This museum at 2010 Flora Street in the Arts District in downtown Dallas is only a few blocks from a DART light rail station. Paid parking is available in the Trammell Crow Center Garage from either Harwood or Olive streets. A guided tour will begin from the lobby at 1 p.m. Free admission. White Elephant Bingo Party and Pot Luck Lunch Thursday, Sept. 18, 10 a.m. 1 p.m. Come to Conference Rooms C1-C2 at the Texins Activity Center.
